For this week, I've planned some pretty interesting benchmarks. The first one is today's Intel Celeron N 3450, 8GB of RAM, and Intel HD Graphics 500. It's a Chuwi LapBook Air 14.1. This time I want to start with my conclusion first: At $ 400, the LapBook Air looks and feels great. The Full HD IPS display shows sharp images, the additional SSD slot is rare and you even get an illuminated keyboard. Unfortunately, the manufacturer had to make significant cuts in other areas in order to realize this price. It starts with quality control. My test device had problems with clear screen bleeding, uneven keyboard lighting, and a defective "J" key. Buyers should definitely test the connectors after purchase and also check for damage. The second problem is the slow components (processor & SSD) and the long loading time. Those who want a bit more performance are better off with an old ULV Haswell notebook for example, which probably also has a better keyboard and a more precise touchpad. However, if you are primarily looking for a device for video playback or streaming films, the LapBook Air is not a bad choice. So you already might guess it. This is not a gaming device but in addition, it's also struggling already at browsing the web meaning it often needs a couple of seconds in addition compared to other systems to run any task. I wouldn't call it annoying but it's not the best experience for sure. But what are this device and the Celeron N3450 in general good for? It's good for video playback even up to 4k. It's really taking a low amount of power so it's very good for working mobile. Like writing text, programming, listening to music, or watching Youtube, Netflix, and so on. Some basic gaming is also possible. Games older than 2010 should be able to run. From the games that I've tested, League of Legends, Minecraft Java, World of Warcraft, Among Us, Hearthstone. Left 4 Dead 2 and Trackmania 2020 have been pretty well playable. The other titles that I've tested didn't even launch or ran pretty bad. All in all, I can't recommend the Celeron N 3450 for gaming in 2021. That's for sure. And I think that there are even better options in the low power segment like the Intel Core M series for example. So I can't even recommend this CPU if you just want to browse the web or watch movies because of better alternatives. However, that's it for my voiceover. Thank's a lot for listening. I hope you're going to enjoy this video even if you're going to see a tremendous amount of games that won't run properly. Stay say and have a great day. I hopefully see you all in the next one. Goodbye.
