In 1960, a young Leonard Cohen arrived on the small Greek island of Hydra, where he found his place among a small community of artists. On this island, he lived, loved and forged his path as a poet and musician 🎵 Decades later, the island could be considered the holy grail for fans. But don’t be fooled. Hydra has clearly kept Leonard Cohen’s memory sacred, and it is up to visitors to quietly and respectfully seek out the footprints he left on the island. There are the bars he frequented, the whitewashed house he purchased soon after his arrival, the crooked tree, the memorial bench... They all sit in a state of quiet solitude and dignity ✨ But perhaps the most magnificent of all is the energy of this island. There is magic there 💖 My mum has spent much of her life dreaming of Hydra and, having been introduced to his music at an early age, so have I. And it finally happened, we made it there and I captured as much of it as I could, so we can revisit those precious days time and time again 🎥 Join us on our journey to Hydra.
