What a year...! Michael will often say he doesn’t feel like he’s done as much as he’d hoped over the last year, but I think this video proves otherwise! Since we moved here in July 2023, he’s spent hundreds of hours chipping render off walls, removing rotten wood and landscaping. And over the last month, he’s started to put things back. After four years in Portugal and numerous dreams about renovating our own property, we've taken the plunge and are renovating a schist stone house and its outbuildings in Figueiró dos Vinhos. We're doing most of the work ourselves (or... Michael is!) and we'll be stepping back in time to create a character property with as many original features and antiques as possible.
