I want to remove the roof rack on the ticking tahoe for a cleaner look. I have done this on several of these in the past and it really cleans up the look. Makes it look like a Tahoe SS if they had ever made one. To remove the roof rack you only need a few things and new shorter bolts. You do need to add teflon tape to the threads to keep water out of the holes. Next I decide to remove the side molding because it is discolored and starting to show its age. This was done with my heat gun, an eraser wheel and some 3m adhesive remover. All in all I am happy with the results after. The Tahoe looks a lot cleaner without the roof rack and moldings.
