ලංකාවෙ දෙවෙනියට උසම කන්ද නගිමුද. ලංකාවෙ උසම කන්ද පිදුරුතලාගල වුනාට ඒක මුදුනට වාහනයකින් පහසුවෙන්ම යන්න පුලුවන්නෙ. මේක ඉතින් ඊට වඩා ගොඩක් වෙනස්. මොකද කිරිගල්පොත්ත මුදුනට වාහන යන්න බෑ. වාහනයකින් එන්න පුලුවන් ලගම තැන තමා හෝටන් තැන්න. එතන ඉදල කිලොමීටර හතකට කිට්ටු දුරක් කොටින්ගෙ රජාධානියක් මැදින් තමා මෙ කන්ද මුදුනට යන්න තියෙන්නෙ. කලින් දවසෙ හෝරටන් තැන්නෙ කෑම්පින් කරපු අපි උදේම නැගිටලා කිරිගල්පොත්ත යන්න පිටත් වුනා. කලින් ගමනෙ විස්තර බලාගන්න පුලුවන් මේ ලින්ක් එකෙන් 👇    • ගල් ගැහෙන සීතලේ කොටි එක්ක කෑම්පින් කරමුද. ...   මීටර් 2388 උස මෙම කන්ද මුදුනට යනකන්ම අඩි පාරක් තියන නිසා ආදුනික කදු නගින්නෙක්ට උනත් පහසුවෙන් ලගා වෙන්න පුලුවන්. නමුත් ගමන මදක් දුශ්කරයි, මොකද කියනවනම් මඩ වගුරු මැදින් තමා මේ පාර වැටිලා තියෙන්නෙ. මල් වලින් පිරුණු මහරත්මල් ගස්, කුඩා දිය පහරවල්, යායට පිපිනු පුංචි පුංචි මල් වර්ග වගේම කන්දෙ උඩට වෙන්න තිබ්බ ලස්සන දර්ශනයත් නිසා ගමනෙ මහන්සියක් දැනෙනෙන්නෙම නැති තරම්. පැය තුනක පමන පා ගමනකින් පසුව අපිට මෙම කදු මුදුනට ලගා වෙන්න පුලුවන්. මෙම කදු මුදුනට පැහැදිලිව පහලින් හෝටන් තැන්න වගේම පිදුරුතලාගල, තොටුපල, හග්ගල වගේ කදුත් පැහැදිලිව බලාගන්න පුලුවන්. හෝටන් තැන්න බලන්න එන ඔයාලත් දවසක මෙම කන්ද තරනය කරන්න අමතක කරන්න එපා. එහෙම යනවනම් කොටින් ගැන විමසිල්ලෙන් යන්න මොකද මේක එයාලගෙ තැන. අපිට මූනට මුන ගැහුනෙ නැතත් බොහොම විපරමෙන් යන එක ඇගට ගුනයිනෙ. මතකය පමණක් රැගෙන , පියසටහන් පමණක් ඉතිරි කර ඒමට නොහැකි පුද්ගලයින් නොගියට කම් නැත.. ලංකාවේ ලස්සන බලන්න YAN Explorer channel එක subscribe කරලා තියාගන්න.. Sri Lanka’s highest mountain is Pidurutalagala, but reaching its summit is easy since vehicles can go all the way up. Kirigalpoththa, however, is completely different. No vehicles can reach its peak — the closest you can get by car is Horton Plains. From there, it’s about a 7 km hike through what feels like the kingdom of leopards to reach the summit. After camping overnight in Horton Plains, we woke up early and set off toward Kirigalpoththa. Although the trail is well-marked, making it manageable even for beginner hikers, the hike is still challenging — especially because the path cuts through muddy wetlands. Along the way, we passed Maharathmaltrees, tiny streams, and meadows filled with wildflowers. The trail’s natural beauty makes the climb feel far less tiring. After about three hours of hiking, we reached the summit, where the views are incredible — with Horton Plains below and clear vistas of Pidurutalagala, Totupola, and Hakgala peaks. If you’re visiting Horton Plains, don’t miss the chance to conquer this mountain. Just remember: this is leopard territory.
