Your Story Matters: City of West Hollywood x StoryCorps Launch Historic Oral History Project

The City of West Hollywood announces a groundbreaking partnership with StoryCorps, the nationally renowned nonprofit dedicated to recording, preserving, and sharing the stories of everyday people. From November 14-21, 2025, West Hollywood hosted on-site oral history recording sessions in the StoryCorps Studios Airstream mobile recording booth, giving community members a rare opportunity to record and preserve their stories at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress. Individuals with West Hollywood stories not able to participate in the Airstream sessions can self-record and submit their stories through the City’s exclusive StoryCorps online portal, a virtual recording tool built for this project.
