Royal Albatross ~ Amazing Closeups Of Chick & Paddles! WYL Returns Home & Gives A Feeding 💖 1.29.26

The DOC ranger stops by to weigh the chick & give a health check. We had nice zooming of the chick! The ranger sprayed its bottom to prevent flystrike, we see its tiny paddles (remember this day when they start to grow quite big for their size). The ranger puts the chick back under Mom BOK. Later in the afternoon, WYL returns home and BOK gives him a lovely skycall greeting! They had a relatively fast changeover - WYL was right there as soon as BOK got up so he could take care of their chick while Mom was out foraging for food at sea. WYL came back with a full stomach of food and he immediately began to feed his chick! The chick weighed 520g from the afternoon weight check -which is a 120g increase from yesterday!
