I knew of the 2142 revive project to keep it going, but I didn't pay much attention to it. Anyhow, to my great surprise, there is still a large player base keeping Battlefield 2142 alive, and furthermore, the game is completely free now! Yes, that's right!!!! You can play both Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142 for FREE. I finally managed to unlock the Pilum for the Engineer, so I could be a lot more effective against vehicles. I'm not very good with it, but I'm no longer helpless when someone comes in with a vehicle. The Pilum is a lot of fun to use.
