It started with the dreaded blinking red LED — six blinks on power up — and no picture. Using a new LED tester I picked up online, I went step-by-step through the diagnosis and found multiple bad LEDs, including one completely dead strip. I go through removing the back cover, accessing the power supply, testing the backlight voltage, and checking each individual LED strip. From there, I disassemble the panel to reach the LED arrays, swap out dead LEDs using spare parts and a torch/soldering setup, and share tips for handling fragile diffusers and avoiding common mistakes. Once everything was reassembled, I powered it back on for the moment of truth — and while it didn’t fully work on the first try, I learned a lot that I’m sharing here to help anyone attempting the same fix.
