PCG INSIDER: The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) proudly announced the successful sea trial and final acceptance of MRRV-9701 at the vicinity waters off Bataan on 03 to 04 March 2022. In this video, CG Commander Anthony Cuevas of the PCG and Engineer Enrico Ferre of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) shared how the DOTr - PCG Technical Inspection and Acceptance Committee (TIAC) ensured all navigational, engineering, and safety machinery and equipment of the first 97-meter multi-role response vessel (MRRV) of the PCG are working properly in accordance with the technical specifications set in the contract. Specifically, the DOTr - PCG TIAC carefully tested the vessel's draft measurement, Doppler speed log, progressive sea trial, noise / local vibration measurement, propeller shaft revolution indicator, anchor windlass, turning, Z maneuvering, steering gear, crash stop astern, and crash stop ahead, the lowest revolution of main engines, inertia, autopilot, echo sounder, marine radar, Automatic Identification System (AIS), and Global Positioning System (GPS) tests.
