These snakes can be a real pain to get feeding. The young often, but not always, need to be assist fed before they take food themselves. A bit from these are rarely fatal, especially at this size, but they will still cause a lot of damage, so the safest method of assist feeding them is to use a sponge to hold them down and some tweezers to pop the food into their mouth . It's important to make sure you avoid the breathing pipe. A bit of food down there could easily choke the snake. . . Please do NOT try this at home unless you know exactly what you are doing.
