This is 'Slipslide Ride'. This is the 1st and only ice cave level in "Donkey Kong Country" for the Game Boy Color. It is the 2nd level of Gorilla Glacier. It is the eightteenth level of the game. There are 3 bonuses in this level. This level involves ropes that are slippery. The Kongs will either slide up or down, depending on the color of the ropes. Ropes are the way to pass the level. There are 3 changes in this level from the Super Famicom and Game Boy Advance versions. The main change of the ice cave level is the music. This is no longer the ice cave theme. It's been replaced with the undersea temple theme from "Donkey Kong Land" for the Game Boy. There are no crystals in the background. Therefore, there is no shining in this version. The color of the ropes are different in this version. The white rope now makes you go up, and the blue rope now makes you go down. In the Super Famicom and Game Boy Advance versions, the blue rope makes you go up, and the purple rope makes you go down. Difficulty numbers 1-10: 1. Very easy 2. Easy 3. Fairly easy 4. Extremely hard Difficulty on this level: Medium to slightly hard Requested by goodster2010. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Things to note: I couldn't use the TAS version of the VisualBoyAdvance emulator because this level had some graphical glitches, especially at the bottom part. I had to use the VisualBoyAdvance-M emulator to do this level. The VBA-M is the only emulator that emulates this level's graphics properly. Any other VBA emulators will not emulate this level's graphics properly. You'll also notice that with the VBA-M emulator, the music sounds exactly the same as playing on the actual Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance, as well as the Game Boy Player. That's not the only problem I had. I had to use HyperCam 2 to capture the video because there are downsides of the VBA-M emulator. I usually use the TAS version of the VBA emulator to make things easier with capturing videos. Here are the following downsides of the VBA-M: Downsides of the VisualBoyAdvance-M: After capturing the video, when I look at it, the video desyncs. This also applies to all the VBA emulators, except for the TAS versions. This is why I use the TAS versions to make AVI videos because there's less desyncing. After capturing the video, when I look at it, the colors look all messed up. As for the other levels, there are some graphical glitches as well.
