I'm Back! My First Drum Cover in 10 Years! It's been a whopping 10 years since I last recorded drum covers. Back then, I was so rushed that I recorded over 50 drum covers in the span of just two days! Now that I finally have more freedom, I can take things easy, focus on the music, and make sure every cover is as relaxed and enjoyable to record as it is to watch. A Major Change: The Kit There's a big change in the setup this time around. Due to limited space, I will not be recording with my acoustic Tama drum set. Instead, I'm diving into the world of electronic drumming for my covers, using my Roland VAD306 e-kit. I know it's not quite the same as acoustic drums, but this setup gives me so much more freedom and flexibility to record whenever inspiration strikes. Most importantly, I'm having fun recording drum covers again, and I truly hope you'll enjoy watching them! Here is a breakdown of the equipment and software I used to record this cover: Drums: Roland VAD306 Computer: Mac Mini M4 Pro DAW: Pro Tools Ultimate Drum Libraries: Superior Drummer 3 (various SDXs), GetGood Drums (GGD), Steven Slate Drums 5 (SSD5), or whichever library fits the song best!
