Previously known as "The Rivermen" formed in Little Rock, Arkansas in the early-to-mid 60s. The Rivermen recorded a couple of singles within their local, Little Rock market before disbanding. In 1968 former "Rivermen" Jerry Miller, Barbara Raney, and Bob Hayes reunited as The Deep Water Reunion emerged on the scene in New Orleans. The band played locally and even appeared on Bourbon Street before beginning a more extensive, two year tour. The tour eventually brought them to the upper midwest. In early 1968 they traveled to Nashville to record this single for RCA Victor: "Ruby Foo b/w I Wanna Know". Mainly a cover band, they have another single, self-released for the Jerral label and three albums recorded in the late 60s. Name Variations: "Deep Water", "Deepwater", "Deep Water Reunion", "DWR". Members: Barbara Raney, Bob Hayes, Brad Kamp, Brent Webster, Keith Skue. Singer Barbara Raney also has a CD with Cindy's Crying (a Tom Paxton song) complete with intro by Clyde Clifford recorded with Tne Deep Water Reunion, plus 5 original songs.
