Hello Operators. This video is the After Action Report for ILMI 2017, grid down emergency communications training scenario using WinLink radio email. ILMI was an shtf preparedness training scenario designed to simulate a grid down communication disaster, caused by a terror attack on grid power and communucations infrastructure. Ham Radio Operators were deployed to provide essential communications between the Northern and Southern regions of teh country. Thescenario tested grid-down communications preparedness for the country, its electrical grid, and its communications infrastructure, Hosted by Vapepa in Finland, emergency volunteers and amateur radio operators were deployed in order to pass messages and critical information throughout the disaster zone. #Winlink, is a worldwide radio messaging system that uses amateur-band radio frequencies to provide radio messaging services including #email with attachments, position reporting, weather bulletins, emergency relief communications, and message relay. The system is built and administered by volunteers and administered by the Amateur Radio Safety Foundation Inc.
