The most beautiful hotel in Monroe, Louisiana - Hotel Monroe - and the zoo and downtown

I visit the brand new Hotel Monroe, in Monroe, Louisiana. It just opened a few weeks earlier in May 2025. This is on the top right corner of the state. I am guessing the tourists mainly come from the Dallas metroplex just to the west. The hotel is small, and stunning. Sitting in two over 100 year old buildings with beautiful interiors, all matching to the local environment. I love the green wood of the rooms, the full sized picture on the wall, the coziness, and the doors that separates the room from the bathroom and hallway. The location. The weather. It's really nice. Offering Youtubes only comprehensive hotel review, exploration, and a taste of the town. And, as always, I visit the area. What is within walking distance of the hotel? What does it look like?
