The 105 Epoxy System lets you tailor your epoxy with your hardener selection - by cure speed or clarity. Check out our WEST SYSTEM Hardeners ➡️https://www.westsystem.com/product-ca... ---------------------------------- 🔔 Subscribe to see our latest epoxy tips & tutorials! ---------------------------------- The WEST SYSTEM 105 Epoxy Resin System is a very versatile epoxy line due, in part, to your ability to select a hardener formulated for a specific set of desired properties. Epoxy is a two part system that is the result of mixing an epoxy resin with a hardener. When using the WEST SYSTEM 105 Epoxy Resin, you have four options of hardeners. The first step in selecting your WEST SYSTEM Hardener, is to determine if you want to control your cure speed or if you want a blush free, clear finish. If you want a clear finish, select the 207 Special Clear Hardener to pair with your 105 Epoxy Resin. 207 Special Clear Hardener Pot Life: 20-26 minutes Working Time: 100-120 minutes Recommended Temperature Range: 90F-60F Mix Ratio: 5 parts resin to 1 part hardener If you are looking to control the speed of the cure, we offer three options: 205 Fast Hardener Pot Life: 9-12 minutes Working Time: 60-70 minutes Recommended Temperature Range: 80F-40F Mix Ratio: 5 parts resin to 1 part hardener 206 Slow Hardener Pot Life: 20-25 minutes Working Time: 90-110 minutes Recommended Temperature Range: 90F-60F Mix Ratio: 5 parts resin to 1 part hardener 209 Extra Slow Hardener Pot Life: 40-50 minutes Working Time: 3-4 hours Min. Recommended Temperature: 80F Mix Ratio: 3 parts resin to 1 part hardener *Times are all based off of use at 72F (22C)* There are a number of reasons you may want to control the speed of your cure, but the two main reasons are temperature or the complexity of your project. Epoxy cure speed is affected by temperature. The warmer the temperature, the faster the cure speed. The cooler the temperature, the slower the cure speed. Complex projects may require more time to apply epoxy to the components and position them correctly before the cure process begins. For these situations, having the extended working time of the 206 Slow Hardener or 209 Extra Slow Hardener may come in handy. No matter which hardener is chosen, it must be mixed with the 105 Epoxy Resin in order to cure. ---------------------------------- 🛒 SHOP https://www.westsystem.com/where-to-buy/ 🛠️ PRODUCTS USED WEST SYSTEM 105 Epoxy Resin https://www.westsystem.com/products/1...
