Unconditional Election is one of the most difficult doctrines I’ve ever wrestled with—and I want to be honest about that. I’m not making this video because I’ve figured it all out. I’m making it because I haven’t. This year, I’ve committed to learning Reformed theology publicly—not because it’s trendy, not because it’s easy, but because Scripture keeps pushing me there. After studying Total Depravity, I couldn’t avoid the next question: If we are truly dead in sin, how does anyone come to Christ? In this video, I explore the “U” in TULIP—Unconditional Election—through Scripture, Augustine, R.C. Sproul, and my own ongoing wrestling. We talk about grace, God’s sovereignty, and why this doctrine is emotionally difficult even if it may be biblically faithful. I’m still learning. I don’t know if I’m a five-point Calvinist. All I know is—I’m open. If you’re studying Reformed theology, Calvinism, or just trying to understand what the Bible teaches about grace and salvation, you’re welcome here. Scriptures & voices referenced: • Ephesians 1:4 • Augustine on grace and election • R.C. Sproul on Unconditional Election 📖 Romans 12 Initiative Our goal is simple: to renew our minds so that we can be transformed into the image of Christ (Romans 12:1–2). 👉 Watch Part 1 on Total Depravity 👉 Subscribe if you’re learning theology with me, not just from me 👉 Comment respectfully—I’m here to learn, not win debates #reformedtheology #calvinism #tulip #johncalvin
