Mengume Ilga Digitized VHS video cassette dating from the mid-1990s. Ethnic ensemble from the Far East of the Russian Federation, consisting of members from the Nanay, Orok, and Nivkh ethnic groups. I organised a concert tour for them in the summer of 1996? to Canada and lost good money on it as some of the venues didn't pay out the agreed fees. Ceremony of feeding the patron of fire, accompanied by Nanay traditional song “Che- Chektoryu” “Чэ-Чэкторю» (Nanay name). 2. “Balana Baldikhomby” ‘Балана Бальдихомби” (“In In Old Times” “В давние времена” RU). 3. Nanay traditional games (spring): a. whistles.. b. whistling up chicks and cubs of animals. c. notchings on sticks. d. swordplay with short sticks. These games are performed also by the elderly members of the ensemble 4. “ Nany Ekteny” “Нанай Эктени” (Nanay woman-mother) (Nanay name). 5. Nanay lament-song “Eptuli-Aga” “Эптули-Ага” (Nanay name). 6. Shaman ritual imitation performed by Beldy Nina. 7. Orok lullaby - perf. Kim Natsko (Orok is a an ethnic group’s name). 8.
