How to make a continuous loop for a gathering hammock, it’s supper strong and neat allowing you to attach a whoopie sling. I want to change my hammock tie ropes for a amsteel whoopie sling but needed a continuous loop for the carabiner. I want a brake in my hammock ropes do that the water will not travel down on to my hammock so this seems to be the best way to avoid it. Utilising the cords that come with my DD hammock I cut a 600mm section and used it to make my continuous loop. One can do this out of amsteel 7/64 but there is nothing wrong with my hammock slings do I used them. Materials and tools needed. 600mm thin wire Knife Scissors Marlin spike ( optional but useful ) Ruler Marker pen If you wanting to use amsteel for a lightweight option, try sailing shops or eBay. DD hammock also sells it but a bit expensive in my opinion.
