This is one of the important Ayyappan Temple located in the heart of Chennai City. This Temple was built by Sri Ayyappa Seva Samajam Society which is registered under Society Act of 1976 and Tamil Nadu Housing Board Act of 1979. This beautiful Temple complex was built on forty cents of land that was purchased from Tamil Nadu Housing Board. Initially all Prayers were performed under a thatched shed. After five years of struggle and savings of Sri Ayyappa Seva Samajam Society they managed to build this permanent Temple complex. Even during their struggle period of the initial five years the Temple managed to give free medical treatment and free food to the poor. Every year Ayyappan Pooja is performed in a grand manner and Ayyappa Devotees from all parts of city visit this Temple. Now this Temple has become an important landmark in Anna Nagar.
