Hello Everyone! This Video features The 40+ Year Old Electric Trains of Latvia's Capital City - Riga, Operating during their Last Years in Service. The RVR (Rīgas Vagonbūves Rūpnīca) ER2 (along with ER2T & ER2M) Electric Trains have been running in Riga since the 1960s, with these models being aged around 40 Years old. Multiple Stations are Featured in This Video, Including Zasulauks (Riga) Vagonu Parks (Riga) Jaundubulti (Jurmala) and More. The RVR ER2 was first conceived in 1962 and was in Local Production (here in Riga) until the mid '80s. The Electric Train Model is currently in Service in Riga, with 108 ER2s, 23 ER2Ts and 1 ER2M (Retired at Time of Writing) Some of the ER2s and ER2Ts were Modernized and thus Feature a More Smooth Look. These Trains are due to be Withdrawn from Service and Replaced with the New Škoda 16Ev.
