On the issue of appointment of judges through the collegium system, the Supreme Court of India has agreed to allow the Central Govt to finalise the Memorandum of Procedure for appointments. But the court laid out certain parameters as guidance for finalising the procedure. The court also directed the centre to finalise the procedure in consultation with the Chief Justice of India.
