Join us LIVE from Kabale District (Kigezi Sub-region) as Uganda commemorates the 45th Tarehe Sita Anniversary. Tarehe Sita (Swahili for "the sixth day") marks the historic date of February 6, 1981, when the first bullet was fired at Kabamba Military Barracks, launching the five-year liberation struggle that birthed the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF). 2026 National Theme: "Defending the gains of the revolution and honouring the sacrifices of the freedom fighters: A call for national unity, peace and socio-economic transformation."
