Role and Mission: The frigate was fully integrated into the UK Carrier Strike Group (CSG25), centered around the flagship HMS Prince of Wales. This was an eight-month long-distance deployment to demonstrate Norway's commitment to global security and strengthen cooperation with key allies. Route and Training: The deployment involved sailing through the Mediterranean, the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean, and into the Western Pacific Rim. The Return to Norway The KNM Roald Amundsen returned to the naval base at Haakonsvern, Bergen, in early December 2025. The frigate had earlier sailed into Portsmouth, UK, with the HMS Prince of Wales on December 3rd.
