Jacky 妄想以吸毒增加作畫靈感, 但適得其反, 泥足深陷, 以致經濟拮据, 竟為金錢意外傷妻. Crystal 終向 Maggie 泣訴實情, 更因心碎而自殺, 幸得醫生拯救及診斷其已懷孕. Jacky 為償債竟答應帶毒到荷蘭, 知妻有孕反悔已遲. 他與 Michael 商討對策時被 Maggie 撞破, Michael 與 Maggie 終告分手. Maggie 助 Jacky 出頭籌款, 終獲 Jacky 叔父解囊相助, 條件是 Jacky 必須戒毒. 但森哥得隴望蜀, 竟脅逼 Jacky 吞下可卡因, 並凌辱 Maggie, 幸 Michael 解圍. 森哥大開殺戒, Michael 卒慘死槍下, Maggie 在最後關頭擊斃森哥, Jacky 終能脫離魔掌. Maggie returns to Hong Kong to bring her grandmother back for settlement in Canada. Only her fianc? Michael comes to welcome her back, but Jacky and Crystal, her good friends and married couple, fail to appear. Jacky Chan, a cartoonist, is in fact a long-time cocaine doper and is therefore deeply in debts. Sam, one of the hired thugs of the drug-dealer constantly comes to collect debts. It greatly irritates Crystal. Michael goes so far as to collaborate with the drug dealer for benefits. Moreover, he supplies cocaine to Jacky once in a while. Jacky is under the delusion that cocaine inhalation will help him gain inspiration in cartoon-drawing, but contrarily, cocaine only makes him get into real trouble. He resorts to satisfy his urge for drugs by snatching his wife's money and accidentally hurts her. Crystal ultimately tells the whole story in tears to Maggie and afterwards commits suicide for feeling heartbroken. The doctor saves her and diagnoses her as having a baby. Jacky agrees to traffic cocaine to Holland in order to pay the debts. He reneges the promise on realizing his wife's pregnancy, but it is already too late. He and Michael have a serious discussion on countermeasures but Maggie accidentally hears their conversation. The long-time romance of Michael and Maggie is momentarily put to an end. Maggie comes forward bravely for Jacky to raise the large sum to pay back the debts. Eventually Jacky's uncle comes to their rescue, on condition that Jacky must give up using drugs. However, Sam hankers for more. He forces Jacky to swallow cocaine and willfully abuses Maggie. Fortunately, Michael arrives to save Maggie. Sam starts a brutal killing and Michael is shot to death.
