Learn more about it and the fitness challenge I've created to help you join in on the fun by tuning into today's episodes. Earlier this month while visiting my hometown (shout out to West Hartford, Connecticut!), I learned about the campaign while browsing the Leisure Services brochure. It's goal? To have all residents live within a 10-minute walk of a public park or playground. According to the Town of West Hartford, 80% of residents currently live within 10 minutes of park. Do you? Put your town to the test today! The 10-Minute Walk campaign is a national effort organized jointly by the Trust for Public Land and the National Recreation and Park Association, based on the goal of everyone living within a 10-minute walk of a public park. This 10th day of the 10th month of the year, I hope you'll see how your community measures up. Do you live 10 minutes or less from a community park? If not, you are encouraged to contact your local government to urge them to participate in the campaign. Learn more about it here: https://10minutewalk.org Whether your community meets the 10-minute walk standard or not, you are invited to join in on a fitness challenge designed to have you put it to the 10-minute test.
