Hello Wayfarers, this is a SHINY only challenge in Pokemon Shield, with some additional rules thrown in. This was hands down, the most fun I've ever had with a shiny only challenge, and I would really recommend having a go at this yourself, if you're able to. I think that everyone has their own set of games within the Pokemon world that they have a weak spot for - a region that maybe not everybody else loved but you did, or a region that everybody loved, but you in particular have truly fond memories of. And for me, those two Pokemon games are Sword and Shield. To a lot of people these are a set of games with an abundance of issues, but I just never really felt that way about them. And instead of driving me away from the franchise, they actually reignited my passion for Pokemon. Seeing my favourite creatures in the overworld throughout my journey and being able to interact with my team in Pokemon camp made it all feel a lot more real to me - but taking that team to battle it out for glory in the region's stadiums truly epitomises what Pokemon has always been about. Competing with other trainers in these huge arenas that are filled with roaring spectators takes me not only right back to the beginning of the anime, but also to being that wide eyed 6 year old who fell in love with this universe, and whenever I come back around to Sword and Shield they always awaken that childlike wonder of Pokemon in me. That is a truly priceless feeling and the driving force behind why this journey is such a special one for me, but the other half of what makes this video so special, is that in 2023, I decided to set out on a new journey in the world of Pokemon. I wanted to beat every single region that had released on the Switch with a team of only shiny Pokemon, and after journeying through Kanto, Hisui, Paldea and Sinnoh, Galar is all that remains. So, I hope you’ll all enjoy yourselves as I take you on my most special journey so far, with Pokemon Shield but I can only use SHINIES.
