Ecoware: Building the Future of Sustainable Air Travel with Etihad Airways

Flying high together! India’s leading sustainable packaging company Ecoware, has soared to new heights by providing fully compostable tableware for UAE-based Etihad Airways. Eco flight EY83 from Abu Dhabi to Rome on April 17 piloted many initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of airline operations.  Ecoware’s certified compostable packaging helped replace 1,731 single-use plastics items onboard the EcoFlight, which in turn reduced weight and thus, CO2 emissions. Once used, Ecoware can be disposed of with other organic waste such as leftover food, thereby reducing disposal costs and avoiding diversion to landfills.  We are thrilled to be at the front and center of sustainable aviation and look forward to helping other airlines achieve net-zero emissions.
