This video follows the road from Taba to Cairo, Egypt, on March 2, 2026, as I traveled through Sinai on my way back to the United States after the regional escalation that followed the February 28 U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran disrupted travel across the region. Shot from a bus window, it records the changing landscape along the Gulf of Aqaba, the Sinai Mountains, desert roads, roadside towns, the passage beneath the Suez Canal, and the long approach into Cairo. Dogs, camels, abandoned resorts, mountains, and people pass in fragments. Nothing here was staged. The full journey lasted about nine hours; this video condenses it to approximately 15 minutes. It is simply a record of a particular road, a particular landscape, and a particular moment in time. Made in the spirit of early travel and street footage, this video is less a polished travel piece than a small document that may become more interesting in time. A future memory.
