How to catch the rare annular solar eclipse in Singapore on Dec 26

A rare phenomenon known as the annular solar eclipse will be visible in Singapore on Boxing Day (Dec 26). At about 11.27am, Singapore will experience a partial solar eclipse. At about 1.22pm, the Moon crosses directly in front of the Sun, forming the annular solar eclipse that is expected to last for two minutes. The whole phenomenon is expected to end at about 3:18pm. Dr Abel Yang from the National University of Singapore's Physics department was in the studio to explain the difference between an annular solar eclipse and a total solar eclipse, as well as some tips and advice for those wanting to catch the phenomenon.
