Old Fashioned Pea Salad From Fresh Garden Peas

This recipe is timeless for a reason. Works just as well from a bag of frozen peas. Pea Salad From a Potluck recipe long ago… ½ cup mayonnaise ½ cup sour cream 2 tsp Dijon mustard ¼ tsp garlic powder 14 oz (the size of a small frozen bag) of peas 4 oz sharp cheddar cheese, diced into pea sized bits ½ cup shelled peanuts ¼ cup finely chopped onion Mix mayo, sour cream, mustard and garlic powder in a large bowl. Top with remaining ingredients and mix well. Best if allowed to sit for a bit before serving. If you like more peas and less dressing, just decrease mayo and sour cream to 1/3 cup each and increase the amount of peas to a pound.
