The plan with coming to KL was always going to be about health checks. We knew we wanted to come to Prince Court for the affordable Health Screening and also knew we wanted some referrals as a result. We booked online but when we called we managed to snag an earlier appointment that was available so try to do that so you get your appointment. We did a fell day of health screening and that covered a lot of tests. We chose the over 50's test and they run different tests for males and females. The tests themselves took about 4 1/2 hours and then you move onto the consultation, review and referrals. We had a lot of referrals and the efficiency of going between doctors is truly amazing. In the US you fill a new patient record every year with every doctor. Here all information and results is readily shared between each doctor which saves time and money. The referrals start and we had a lot of them. We saw our initial referrals on the Monday after our executive health screening on the Thursday. That was something like 9 appointments on that day between us. Whilst we found the Executive Health Screening to be affordable and efficient the referrals began to feel more about the money than the patient. We discovered new treatments they do not even do in the USA and found our treatments to be on par with the UK and USA, just more efficient and affordable. The key is to take responsibility for your own health and ask questions. Helen got her fractured foot taken care of as well as a new drug for Psioratic Arthritis that was $500 a month compared to $7000 in the USA. I took care of my trigger finger with Physio at a lower cost than the USA, a thoird of the price and I had insurance in the US). Lastly we talk about Dentist and Opticians. We plan to use the credit card points to travel until they run out and will then start to spend our money on accommodation. Helen has an autoimmune disease which makes walking hard and accessing doctors and bloodwork were a major concern on our travels. We will document the process of appointments, prescriptions, bloodwork and keeping on top of all of that when you are thousands of miles from your primary care Doctor We love Formula 1 so will be at races if they match our dates and plans. Helen travels with a Nikon camera so wildlife photography is definitely a passion, as with all photography it comes with a lot of heavy gear that takes up valuable space and weight!
