A barber has spoken about his struggle to lodge an insurance claim after his business was flooded. Firat "Freddie" Uygun said his business in Midleton, Co Cork, was flooded as a result of blocked drains when Storm Babet, the season's first named storm, hit Ireland. It's another challenging day today as thousands across the county wake up to assess the damage after havoc-wreaking Storm Babet barrelled through the the southwest. While the Status Orange storm has cleared from Cork, leaving somewhat brighter weather today, many are left tackling a clean-up job following a day of flooding and weather destruction yesterday. The second named storm of the season, Babet brought some of the worst flooding seen in living memory and caused almost unprecedented levels of destruction in parts - from submerged cars to destroyed homes and business, many are now faced with thousands-worth of damage.
