But it works. Over the years our driveway has sunken a bit where it meets the garage. Replacing the driveway is a lot of money, so instead I decided to build a ramp of asphalt in front of it. It's now three years later, and the ramp is still there, still solid, and has not cracked or had any failures. Not even along the front edge where the repair tapers down to nothing. So when I wanted to expand the patch, this was an easy choice.
