November Jungle Garden Plant Care - Updated Overwintering Tips 2024

Today's video is an updated walking tour round my North Lincolnshire UK tropical style jungle garden in mid-November 2024, talking about overwintering & winter care tips for my exotic garden plants. Featuring my big summer display leaves like Gunnera manicata, Ensete ventricosum 'Maurelii' and Musa basjoo banana plants plus Salvias, hardy Hedychium Gingers and Begonias I discuss which plants need what winter care, and when. I also talk about how my overwintering and plant care philosophies have changed and evolved over the last few years. Some plants come inside over winter, others move to the polytunnel / greenhouse whilst many receive winter protection from leaves and fleece through to other exotics like hardy palms & Dicksonia antartica tree ferns which stay outside and may require protection during exceptional freezes and hard frosts as winter progresses.
