Fertilizing blackberries is critical for successful blackberry production! Keep in mind that you need to amend the soil before planting. Add the the recommended Nitrogen, Potassium and Phosphorus. Blackberries require lots of nitrogen during the growing season to grow plenty of primoanes for the next growing season. We add 15 lbs of Nitrogen per acre 3 times a year.
