Some people’s problems stem from having a bad foundation in life. This is called inherited evil covenants. Foundations are very important for they support the entire superstructure. What happens to the foundation cannot be ignored (Psalm 11:3). Some people suffer in life because they have been cursed even before they were conceived, some were cursed at their birth. Some people carry lifelong problems that go back to their foundation. Have you any inherited covenants in your life? Are you suffering from generational curses? Is your bad name bringing bad omens into your life? Are the so-called “prayers” said at your dedication hindering your life? Were you initiated into occultism from the womb? In this area of foundational bondage, any individual can fall into any of these four categories: (1) Cursed before birth but not cursed at birth. (2) Not cursed before birth but cursed at birth. (3) Cursed BOTH before and at birth. (4) Not cursed before birth and not cursed at birth (FREE FOUNDATION). How free and blessed is your foundation? Or how defiled, corrupted and cursed is your foundation? 1) CURSED BEFORE BIRTH: 👇 Jeremiah 1:5; Luke 1:15,42; Exodus 20:3-6; 2 Kings 5:25-27; Genesis 49:1-7; 2 Samuel 3:28,29; Psalm 109:13,14; Galatians 1:15 Many problems in people’s lives can be traced to what happened even before they were born. Some date back as far as before they were even thought of and some during conception. Just like children can be blessed and Spirit filled in the womb, so also can they be cursed or demonized in the womb. God said of Jeremiah: “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations” (Jeremiah 1:5; Galatians 1:15; Luke 1:42). Some people suffer from inherited curses that date back to many decades even before they were born (Exodus 20:3-6; 2 Kings 5:25-27). The descendants of the tribes of Reuben, Simeon and Levi were cursed at the birth of those tribes whereas others were blessed at inception (Genesis 49:1-7). The descendants of Joab and Gehazi will suffer because of the consequences of their sins (2 Samuel 3:28,29; 2 Kings 5:25-27). 2) CURSED AT BIRTH: 👇 1 Samuel 4:21,22; 1 Chronicles 4:9,10; Luke 1:66-80,15,42; 2:21-40; Genesis 35:18; Hosea 9:11; Isaiah 48:8; Psalm 58:3; Jeremiah 20:14-18; Job 3:1-16. Two classic examples of individuals that were cursed at birth are Jabez and Ichabod. Whether they were cursed before birth we don’t know but they were definitely cursed at birth. The painful circumstances that their mothers were going through at the time of their birth led to these curses. “And she named the child Ichabod saying THE GLORY IS DEPARTED from Israel …” (1 Samuel 4:21,22) “… and his mother called his name Jabez, saying BECAUSE I BARE HIM WITH SORROW” (1 Chronicles 4:9,10). We don’t read about the life of Ichabod but that of Jabez is recorded in the scriptures. His prayer to God revealed he suffered terribly from the impact of the curse (1 Chronicles 4:10). Some are cursed at their naming or dedication ceremony. When a child is dedicated to an idol, he is cursed and marked by the devil from that moment on. Also a child can be cursed by satanic agents who attend such ceremonies on evil assignment (cf. Luke 1:66-80; 2:21-40). What kind of prayers were offered at your dedication? Were libations poured to idols and ancestral spirits? Who were the people present? What did they do? Who handled you? Were they righteous Simeon and devoted Anna or were they Barjesus and Simon the sorcerer? A child can also be initiated and demonized at birth (cf. Luke 1:15,42). Such a child becomes a transgressor and an agent of evil and the devil from the womb (Isaiah 48:8; Psalm 58:3). What can make a child to be great and what constitutes his glory can be gone at birth (Hosea 9:11). The day that such people were born were cursed and their sorrows in life stems from that foundational day (Jeremiah 20:14-18; Job 3:1-16). 3) CURSES INTO BLESSINGS: 👇 Deuteronomy 33:6-8; 23:5; Numbers 24:9,10; 1 Chronicles 4:9,10; Genesis 35:18; Isaiah 10:27; 61:2 The foundational curses OR inherited covenants can be cancelled and replaced with blessings. The curses can be turned into blessings. The scripture reveals this with practical example: (1) The foundational curses placed by Jacob on Reuben, Simeon and Levi were turned into blessings by Moses and Jesus did it for the believer (Deuteronomy 33:6-8; Galatians 3:13,14). (2) Jabez prayed off the curses and inherited blessings in their place (1 Chronicles 4:9,10). (3) A cursed name like Benoni (THE SON OF MY SORROW) can be changed to Benjamin (THE SON OF MY RIGHT HAND) (Genesis 35:18). (4) The foundational yoke and curse can be broken irrespective of how it came (Isaiah 10:27; 61:1). That curses can be turned into blessings is a scriptural reality (Deuteronomy 23:5; Numbers 24:9,10).
