The Australian Alps, particularly the Victorian Alps, hosts a number of hiking challenges - none more infamous than the Australian Alps Walking Track (AAWT). The AAWT runs through the length of the Australian Alps over a distance of 650km. Throughout this entire trail there is 1 section that many claim to be the most challenging - the Razor-Viking Wilderness. While many choose to hike this area as a circuit (or as part of the AAWT), our mission was simply to reach the summit of The Viking after realising we lacked the time to complete the circuit.
