Why can't CGHS rates be applicable to Pvt Hospitals? In India, there are approximately 1.4 billion people, of which 70 percent reside in villages. In these villages, primary, secondary, or tertiary healthcare facilities are not adequately available. Similarly, the situation is also poor in Tier 3 and Tier 4 cities and towns. Thirty percent of the population resides in large metro cities, where healthcare services are quite accessible. This includes facilities such as hospital beds, ventilators, ICUs, ambulances, good doctors, nursing staff, and polyclinic nursing homes. On the contrary, 70 percent of the population residing in villages are not benefiting from these services, which is discriminatory. Another important point is that the infrastructure and services of existing hospitals, including all types of treatments, OPDs, IPDs, hospital beds, ICU beds, critical care beds, and diagnostics - all these services are currently being provided by the private healthcare sector up to 70 percent, while only 30 percent of the facilities are provided by the government. 48% of the rural population still seek treatment at their own expense. The situation is such that they have to take loans for treatment, and sometimes even have to sell their land. Although the Ayushman and CGHS schemes are being aggressively promoted, providing affordable healthcare to everyone is still a major challenge for the government. Therefore, the government should increase its budget and raise the GDP to 5 percent, which is currently only 2.2 percent. Some hospital services are available in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities, but they are still disorganized. NABH is affiliated with the Quality Council of India and recognizes hospitals across the country for improving healthcare facilities. Establish high standards of excellence in health services and provide NABH and NABL accreditation to the general public. The government should also consider increasing rates under the Ayushman and CGHS schemes. This will help larger hospitals provide better services to these patients. If we want to provide affordable and accessible healthcare to the 70 percent population residing in rural areas, then we need to expand private-public partnerships. This problem is a big challenge for the future of our country. To solve this problem, we need more and more people to understand its importance. Through this collaboration, we will be able to strengthen the public health system so that everyone in our country can receive proper medical care. #hospitals #PrivateHospitals #healthcare #healthcareservices #ambulance #doctors #NABHaccredited #FelixHospital
