Dr. Nanda Rajaneesh | Appointment booking number: 8971755794 Consultant Onco Surgeon and Laparoscopic Surgeon|Apollo Spectra Hospitals, Bengaluru When we do any Laparoscopic surgery, it depends on what area you are doing Laparoscopic surgery, whether you are doing for gall bladder or for hernia or for intestine or cancer surgery. So if you are doing a simple Laparoscopic gall bladder surgery, the preparation is not anything much, you come empty stomach on the day of surgery and you will remove the gall bladder, if you are doing a hernia surgery and if it is very small hernia surgery it also becomes very simple, on empty stomach, they get admitted, but if you are doing advanced Laparoscopic surgery, the colonic preparation is a must. We admit these patients on the previous day and we prepare the colon. We empty the stomach, we give them preparations and we empty the intestine before taking them for Laparoscopic surgery and secondly we also try to clean the umbilicus, we tell the patient to take a good bath and clean the umbilicus and we also wash this umbilicus area in ward or on admission, and the preparation on the day of surgery is routine like for all patients and you need to be calm when you go for Laparoscopic surgery because this particular surgery is done under general anesthesia. #Laparoscopicsurgery #gallbladdersurgery #herniasurgery #intestinesurgery #cancersurgery
