Here is a comprehensive chase of the UP LOB34 Crestmore & Western Local from Ontario, through Pedley and the Jurupa Valley to the end of the line in Crestmore, CA. This job rarely makes the run up the branch these days, so seeing the scenic railroad be utilized was quite the treat. We start off at Ventura Foods in Ontario where the train is switching out tank cars, following it as it travels east on the Los Angeles Sub, then down the Pedley Wye onto the Crestmore Industrial Lead, performing industrial switching work at the two lumber plants located at top of the line in Crestmore before making its return to the Mira Loma yard. This local runs quite a long distance and traverses many steep grades, allowing for many scenic opportunities to see this train throughout its work.
