Bringing Vietnam To You! Today I begin my epic journey to North Vietnam by taking the public bus to Hanoi. Riding the public bus to Hanoi can be an eventful experience or just simply getting from A to B! I would travel by bus in Vietnam like a local & taking the public bus to Hanoi from Nam Dinh. Riding the public bus in Vietnam is not as difficult as you may think and very, very affordable. This two hour journey to Hanoi from Nam Dinh cost just 70,000 VND (US$3). We travel in to Hanoi by local bus all the time for our Vietnam travel agency. Usually buses will pick up passengers on the side of major roads in the direction of Hanoi. Check the local area and your homestay or hotel & ask which road is best where you are staying. Then get yourself to that road and wait for a bus to come along. This won't suit many people but backpackers will be fine to do this as it saves dollars. I arrived at Gia Lam bus station in Hanoi which is very close to the Old Quarter. I then took a Grab motorbike taxi through to Hanoi Old Quarter to reach my hotel on Bat Dan street. I also took a look around my hotel to show you the standard available for a 3.5* hotel. This hotel is advertised as being a 4* hotel but we believe it to be a genuine 3.5*. We have stayed at genuine 4* hotels in Hanoi and can see the difference in quality! Please bear that in mind if booking hotels yourself or allow us to choose for your package if booking with us! This is the beginning of an epic journey to the north of Vietnam over 10 days. I will visit Sapa and take an adventure packed 3 days trekking through the mountains, valleys and rice terraces of the minority villages of the Red Dao minority tribes. I will also head to Bac Ha to explore two local markets at Can Cau and Bac Ha itself. With motorbike rides, waterfalls and the wonderful colours of the minority tribes at the markets, this promises to be one epic trip of north Vietnam. **Filmed in 4k with GoPro Hero 8 - change your YouTube settings to the highest quality possible for a better viewing experience!** Please subscribe ❤️ ...and turn on notifications! 🔔 We release a video "Bringing Vietnam To You" EVERY Monday, Wednesday and Friday https://bit.ly/3lkFjh2 Allow Simon to Bring Vietnam To You and take you on an adventure during this covid-19 pandemic where travel restrictions do not allow entry to Vietnam.
