Το Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου (ΑΠΚΥ) επισκέφθηκε στις 15-19 Απριλίου 2024 η Δρ Iman Rabah, Κοσμητόρισσα Διασφάλισης Ποιότητας στο Modern University for Business and Science (MUBS) του Λιβάνου, για μια σειρά ανοικτών διαλέξεων στο πλαίσιο του Προγράμματος Διεθνούς Κινητικότητας Erasmus+. Το πρόγραμμα διδασκαλίας, το οποίο εντάχθηκε στα Μεταπτυχιακά προγράμματα «Educational Leadership and Policy» και «Διοίκηση, Τεχνολογία και Ποιότητα» του ΑΠΚΥ, έχει γενικό τίτλο «Total Quality Management (TQM) & University Management Models». #2 Διάλεξη σε συνεργασία με τον Κυπριακό Όμιλο Εκπαιδευτικής Διοίκησης (ΚΟΕΔ): The Implementation of the Total Quality Management (TQM) Model in Higher Education and its Possible Success at the Primary and Secondary Education Level. Στόχος της διάλεξης είναι να αναδείξει επιχειρηματικά μοντέλα και μοντέλα διοίκησης ποιότητας που αξιοποιούνται στην τριτοβάθμια, δευτεροβάθμια και πρωτοβάθμια εκπαίδευση. Η ομιλήτρια επικεντρώνεται σε ένα μοντέλο Διοίκησης Ολικής Ποιότητας (‘Total Quality Management’ – TQM) για την ανώτατη εκπαίδευση, το οποίο λαμβάνει υπόψη τις ακαδημαϊκές παραμέτρους και συμβάλλει στην ενίσχυση της ακαδημαϊκής αυτονομίας. Πρακτικές TQM έχουν εφαρμογή και στα σχολικά περιβάλλοντα, και η Δρ Rabah εστιάζει στο πώς μοντέλα διοίκησης και διασφάλισης ποιότητας μπορούν να υποστηρίξουν αποτελεσματικά τη λειτουργία σχολικών και εκπαιδευτικών μονάδων. . . Dr. Iman Rabah, Dean of Quality Assurance at the Faculty of International School of Business of the Modern University for Business and Science (MUBS), visited the Open University of Cyprus, and more specifically the Postgraduate programmes “Educational Leadership and Policy” and “Management, Technology and Quality”, under the Erasmus+ International Mobility Programme for an invited Teaching Assignment. The overall title of her course is "Total Quality Management (TQM) & University Management Models". 2nd Hybrid Lecture: The Implementation of the Total Quality Management (TQM) Model in Higher Education and its Possible Success at the Primary and Secondary Education Level The purpose of this hybrid lecture is to highlight the modified business models used in higher, secondary, and primary education. The issues caused by TQM as a form of new public management should be taken into consideration, including overload in teaching, administrative tasks, faculty turnover and the reasons behind this along with the quality of teaching and research.. While TQM practices are well established in higher education, their application in primary and secondary schools is less well established. Hence, the lecture will introduce different applications of TQM in school education, and several case studies will be examined and described providing insight into the effect of TQM practices on school environments.
