It's a Shame (Remastered) is performed by The Spinners in 1976. Co-written by Stevie Wonder, Syreeta Wright, and Lee Garrett, the song became the Detroit soul group's biggest single on the Motown Records company since they had signed with the company in 1964 and also their biggest hit in a decade. The lineup of the Spinners includes original members Pervis Jackson, Henry Fambrough, Billy Henderson, and Bobby Smith, and lead vocalist G.C. Cameron. instrumentation is by Stevie Wonder and The Funk Brothers with the incredible bassist James Jamerson. The song became a huge hit for the group in 1970 reaching #14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #3 on the R&B singles chart, making It's a Shame one of their biggest hits to date.
