I Tried a Cheap Moka Pot—Here’s What Happened

#mokapot #mokapotcoffee 🔔The coffee Recipe I use: 15g dark roasted coffee beans 150ml water (room temperature) ➡️My Experience with a Cheap Moka Pot: A Few Months In (and Some Burned Coffee Later) 🔹1. Can it make good coffee? Yes, it can, but it's not as consistent as a Bialetti. The boiler on this cheaper model is thinner, which means it heats up faster but doesn't retain heat well. If you remove it from the heat too early, the pressure won’t build up properly, and you'll end up with less coffee. If you wait too long, it sputters and burns the coffee. In my experience, 15g of coffee beans is a safe amount, 17g usually works, and 18g mostly doesn’t – I’m not sure why. Also, you need to make sure the boiler chamber is screwed on tightly, or the coffee will come out weak. 🔹2. Do I recommend it? Honestly, no. Save your money and go for a Bialetti or another Italian-made brand. 🔹3. Do I keep it? Yes, it looks nice! I’ll keep it on my shelf, but I’m planning to buy a better one for everyday use.
