Sirui 16mm T1.2 and 75mm T1.2 NightWalker Series 4K Video Test (Shot on FX30) One of the most popular Sirui Night Walker series just got two new members. The 16mm T1.2 and 75mm T1.2. I was lucky enough to get my early hands on. So what’s so special about Night Walker Series. Oh well, the large aperture. A lot of APS-C/Super 35mm users often have the same problem when shooting in the dark. The lowlight. So having a fast lens is very important. And I’m glad Sirui was able to keep that fast aperture of T1.2 to all their nightwalker series. Especially the 16mm one. Wide angle lens usually max out at T1.5. Both lenses are super sharp even shooting wide open. But between the 16mm and 75mm. 75mm is my personal favourite. I have mentioned so many times, I love shooting long. But the 56mm T1.2 that I tested before, it wasn’t tele enough. Especially when you do street videos like me. You can’t get close to people on 56mm lens. But this 105mm focal length is a sweet spot (75mm x1.5 crop factor on FX30). Everything just look cinematic with that portrait lens. Overall, I think these two lenses are amazing. And for me I enjoyed using them more than the 24mm, 25mm and 56mm. But I still wish Sirui can make something even wider than 16mm. Because after the 1.5x Super35mm crop. The 16mm is just a standard 24mm wide angle. If they could make a 12mm T1.2, that would be awesome. Same thing goes to the tele lens. If they could make a 105mm T1.2. That would be my dream.
