Remembering Army Men: Sarge's Heroes 2

A child's play is a soldier's duty in Army Men: Sarge's Heroes 2, the retro third-person shooter that took players from the comfort of their homes to the frontlines of plastic warfare. In the year 2000, well before the heyday of Fortnite or Call of Duty, the company 3D0 brought Sarge and the brave and often hilarious soldiers of Bravo Company to the Nintendo 64 and Sony Playstation. When I was a kid there were far fewer shoot 'em up games on the market, but the ones we had REALLY had to be creative to pull our attention from the likes of 007 Goldeneye. With a bright green cartridge and the unique twist of playing as plastic soldiers in the real world, it was not hard for the Army Men series to take a nice bite out of that audience and hold onto us for quite a while. The often clunky but always fun series was far from perfect, but it was so much fun to play and such an unforgettable experience to explore the real world levels from the perspective of a two inch tall plastic army man. This twist meant that you didn't need to be a huge fan of the shoot 'em up genre to find something to enjoy with Sarge and the boys. What's your favorite entry in the Army Men series?
