Viral Video Of Purdue University Officer Struggling To Arrest Student LAFAYETTE, INDIANA - Purdue Police Department released footage of an controversial encounter where an officer struggled with a student during arrest. On February 04, 2022, the officer responded to a citizen's complaint of a domestic altercation. During the encounter, the officer attempted to separate the involved parties, but the male half did not comply with his command to move to the rear of the vehicle. A physical altercation ensued as the officer attempted to take the male into custody. The male continued to resist the officer while they wrestled around in the snow, until additional officers arrived. The viral video that was recorded by the female half launched an internal investigation, which at the time this video was released, the department and prosecutor found no wrong doing on the officer's part.
