I spent ages looking for an online review of this guitar but couldn’t find one, so when it arrived I did a little demo video myself. (shot and edited on my iPad in about 15mins, so excuse the rough edges!) The Eastman PCH3-GACE in a very limited edition pre-production blonde finish (the standard production models are Honeyburst finish). It’s a solid Sitka spruce top with stunning laminate flamed maple back and sides, rock maple neck, rosewood (or possibly a RW substitute) fretboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, nitro gloss finish, unbranded tuners, Eastman gig bag. I had mine supplied with no pickguard, and have changed the bridge pins for ebony ones. Fit and finish is stunning for a £500 guitar, lovely tone, very playable. Looks and sounds more expensive than it is! Perfect for an intermediate player or someone like me who needs something nice but not irreplaceable to take on location when I’m away working. Has an installed Fishman pickup with tone/volume control which sounds pretty much as you’d expect an inexpensive undersaddle pickup to sound (bright, a bit thwacky). It perhaps lacks the balance, tone and projection of it’s more expensive siblings but for £500 you can’t go far wrong. The audio on the video doesn't do it justice!
